The end of US$4/gallon was near when Dodge started paying all gasoline
costs in excess of $2.99/gallon
with the purchase of a new car. I know the U.S. auto makers are not
always the smartest bunch on the block, but nobody is going to make a
bet like that without either a huge hedge (ala Southwest
Airlines) or a pretty good feel that the dollar has to strengthen
and the price of oil (in dollar terms) has to go down in order for the
economy to recover.
Of course, maybe they are not actually paying the difference... maybe
they have found a way to hedge.
No matter how they went about it, somebody has figured out a way to
make money from reducing the cost of fuel. Pretty cool.
Tony Parker
has taken on his wife's role as a cover
model. Here's hoping next
season is more like DWade
and not like T-Mac.
Go Spurs Go!
This is an economizer.
It will find it's final home in the boiler plant of a large chemical company on the Gulf Coast of Texas. It will reduce their fuel consumption by approximately $3,000,000 per year. They will combust less fuel and release fewer emissions into the atmosphere while allowing the rest of us to enjoy the conveniences we have come to know and love.
Almost brings a tear to one's eye, doesn't it?

This just cracks me up... even if they do randomly break out in song
I am a new MacBook owner. I have used Launchy on my PC's for some time now as a "QuickSilver" alternate.
As a result, QuickSilver was one of the first apps I installed on the Macbook. Recently, I was directed to Spotlight which seems to have the all of the launch functionality I need and is built into Leopard.
The question is "Am I missing something?"
It isn't ScribeFire but within Thunderbird is the capability to insert links. I guess this will do for now, but I have high hopes for ScribeFire (or the hackers out there) to come up with a way to post to Posterous any day now.
I realize that the idea behind Posterous is to make blogging a simple affair. To be honest, I have a Tumblr site that I like, but I wanted a place where comments are supported. Hopefully ScribeFire is on it, because it really is the easiest way to post that I have found. I am open to alternatives that make it easy for someone like me to post. Suggestions?
this is a first post to be remembered... lol. I hope years from now people don't look back on this and judge my writing skills. I hope there are other ways to post to this site (besides e-mail) but it looks like I have to send the first post in to access the site. Here goes:
